Autopsy reports indicate that Brown was not killed by impact but infact was pinned under the car and suffocated. Police continue to reiterate that Brown was a known felon. Despite this, the officer who killed Brown did not show a sign of hesitation. He did not press on his breaks or veer to the side to avoid killing Brown. Grand jury determined that there wasn't enough evidence to criminally prosecute James Harris, the officer driving the patrol car. He was however fired and a settlement has been awarded.
On May 31, the chief of police reviewed the video of the incident. Upon reviewing, he determined the "actions in the video did not meet our internal standards," said DeLand Police Sgt. Chris Estes, who said Harris was fired the same day.".* Ana Kasparian, Dave Rubin (The Rubin Report), and Ben Mankiewicz (What The Flick?! and TYT Sports) break it down on The Young Turks.
